• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and now have to move to a new host. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE ARE MOVING THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER OVER THE NEXT 5-10 DAYS. We will experience downtime during that period. Please be patient and have confidence that we will return! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

After meeting Matthias Jabs at the September 2013 Vintage Guitar Show in Munich
I was lucky to get his personal January 1969 Custom Les Paul meanwhile.

Awesome all original guitar which he used in this Scorpions Video
He told me that he also used this guitar for the recording of the song in the studio.

Still not a Burst but a great Vintage Les Paul leaning on my March 1969 Super Lead Plexi

I wish more guitarists appreciated Matthias's guitar slinging abilities!
As B^ss^ss as Michael Schenker is, Matthias is a better matchs

I agree!! Although back in the 80's he was pretty well respected. His solo on "Rock You Like a Hurricane" won a lot of awards and open respect by others at the time. :dude: :dude:

Mike and Rudy would have turned into a sibling rivalry. Jabs sees things as a song, and "how bad^ss can I be while still taking the song somewhere it needs to go.

His playing on the entire Blackout album won him a lot of respect. That is one great album. I also really liked their more recent album Humanity Hour One Record a lot... Woefully underrated...He is a monster player. Plays a nice variety of gear...
