Hello everyone, I have a Les Paul special tribute with two humbuckers, 490R & 490T. I love The bridge pickup but I just don’t like the neck position, just doesn’t gel with my style. I was thinking of changing the neck pickup for a Fralin P90 humbucker (Hum-Cancelling P90), I would like more spank from the neck position for rhythm parts as well as for clean melodic lines, I love this idea but just don’t know if it would actually work well in terms of pot values and overall sound of the guitar... Does anyone have experience with similar setups on a Les Paul with HB on the bridge and P90 on the neck? Any recommendations? Thanks.

That's a good question and there are one or two guys here with that combination.........thinking about doing that myself at some stage.
In my experience your pots will be the same and I love the P90 sound in the neck, more crisp, present/clearer than a humbucker.
Fralin make very good pups so couldn't see a problem with it at all.
