Hi All,
I'm considering purchasing a Les Paul Standard in Ebony and was wondering how the current Les Paul Standards compare to those from the mid-90s to early 2000s.

I’d appreciate any insights or feedback on the differences in build quality, tone, and overall feel.

Thanks in advance.

You're in the wrong section of the forum. "The Other Gibsons" means Gibson guitars OTHER than Les Pauls. Dig around the site a bit... you'll find a section where you'll get a response.

The modern USA “standard” range are some of the best guitars Gibson has made to date.
When the manager of Gibson Custom shop was asked “what’s your favourite guitar?” He replied “the SG 61 standard”
