Yes, that thread should be moved somewhere more visible as a sticky, but what do I know?

Parts...who the hell are you with 129 posts, to question how we choose to memorialize Lily? The reason we put it in the Vintage section, is because that is the most read section on our Forum and where most of our older members hang. It doesn't need to be a sticky yet. It's remained at the top of the section since we first posted it.

You might be better suited for the MLP Forum.

Please guys, don't get upset at each other. That is the last thing that mom would have wanted, trust me. She really loved this forum and I know first hand how much of her heart and soul she dedicated to it! The last thing she would want from her forum family is hard feelings toward each other. Let's all just raise a "peace sign" and throw down some great licks on our Lester's in her honor!

Thanks, T.j.

How rude.

This is the type of arrogant BS that turns people to the other forum.

I find it more respectable where it is in the vintage section than the backstage area. I don't know where you are getting all high and holy from...

And by the by, your pissing and moaning about this forum on the thread about Lily over there is about the most disrespectful thing I have EVER seen. You sir are a maggot.

Dont be an asshole.

T.J.....unfortunately it was rudeness like Parts' post that ultimately drove your mother away from participating here. It's a shame.
Tokyo Mike...if you think Parts' post was in any way appropriate during a time like this well I just really don't know what to say. It was SO inappropriate.

And Parts...if you think the MLP Forum shows more respect to Lily than we do, that's just revisionist history. That place was started, in large part, to bash on her and the mods over here. Some of the vitriol that was posted about her was disgusting. So please...save your lecturing.

Wow...

There is a huge response to the vintage section post; not everyone looks backstage on a regular basis. Sad occasion and also sad to see feelings hurt over this. Maybe this post should just be shut down.

Family and friends need to grieve and be able to pay respects through a positive avenue. I did not know her personally but she was very helpful to me when I first wandered in here. I think her legacy is secure and all she did for us is appreciated by those that knew her.

As a long time moderator here on the LPF I can say that I only experienced a small fraction of the hate that Lily bore the brunt of from the MLPF. Other places, too. When I started I thought she was nice but maybe just a little paranoid about people. It didn't take long to figure out why she guarded herself. The attacks could be vicious & extremely personal. You have no idea. I could post screenshots but that would show almost as much poor taste as the first post in this thread. Hypocrites. Even in death she can't get a break.

Really ? Why am I here ?

Indeed, why?:bigal

I'll continue to think of her every time I wiggle my B5 Bigsby Whambulation enhanced R9 direct injected through one of my blackfaced Bandmasters. Something we shared a passion for. Remember, "IF IT'S A HIT, IT'S A MIRACLE". :lily

My apologies everyone.

I started the thread at MLP because I knew there were people there who would want to know.

It was with the best of intentions and I had no idea it would lead to bickering at a time like this.

Sorry,

Rob

I don't handle this or any other passing well, and maybe I jumped on Parts a little hard there. For that I apologize. I think you are wrong Parts. I think the memorial is most appropriate where it is as that was the point of this whole forum anyway and the section I am pretty sure she loved the best. I hung around this forum for many many years before joining finally. She will be greatly missed and it just struck a nerve when your post came across as you were the only one qualified to decide where the posting should be. So that's why I blew up. Besides on either forum you can't even get into the Backstage unless you are logged in. As far as a sticky, that's not a bad idea or a runner under the title. Again, apologies to you parts.

Dont be an asshole.

No, I don't wish to get into your territory. I'll stay with the light humor for now. Thanks.

I think that was the right thing to do. And most of them handled it well.
