Afternoon (or maybe evening in some cases) all....
I have been replacing the full wiring harness on an LP with Monty's 1950 wiring loom. I photographed the original loom, put labels on all wires and connected back up using the manufacturers instructions. I checked switching worked before re-stringing etc - tapping on pups when using the selected told me that the switch was working against the correct pups. Once plugged in I have noticed a potential issue. Either there was something wrong with the loom or, more than likely, I've done something wrong.
When selector switch is 'up' (Rhythm) plays only Neck pup as expected. Full volume/tone all worked fine. When selector is in middle position is 'sounds' over powering from the Rhythm and it 'sounds' like any changes on the bridge pickup make no difference. As a possible side note the Rhythm pup is way louder than bridge and changing volume/tone on the bridge pickup appears t make no noticeable difference.
Rather than start a rewire does anyone have any suggestions or com. across this before. I have a volt/amp meter that I can test it but not idea what I should be looking for.
thanks in advance.
