New Toy Day: Parsons B-Bender Telecaster --

I sent this one off to Gene in California for some hot-rodding, just got back home so I am going to have some fun learning this week.

Specs: Fender Tele AmPro Ash in White Blonde, Fender Custom Shop 51 Nocaster Pickups, 4-Ply Orange Pearl guard, Modern C with Modern Locking Tuners, Rosewood board.

Sorry, crappy pics:

Be sure to report back on how it goes learning how to use this thing. Love Clarence White's playing.

I have the standard spring tension set and I don't want to deviate from that.

So far, I am grappling with a new notion: my default handling of the guitar along with my vibrato technique will also engage the bender albeit slightly, providing lessons on how to not "man-handle" the instrument and instead approach things with an overall lighter touch, becoming more conscious of putting the grips to the thing.

I am and will remain a long way from Clarence! :sneaky:
