I have current appraisals with little notes in the cases. Easy for the family to know the approximate value with the history etc. they can choose to roll it forward and see if they go up in value or sell.

I`m hoping that maybe @CDaughtry will join this conversation & share his thoughts of his time with Nicky with us, along with anything else he would like to add! I remember when Nicky was first displayed as the 'LPF Banner' here in 2014--I immediatley fell in love with it & contacted him about his beautiful Les Paul & eventually purchased a 12"x24" print of Nicky from him--which was & is wonderful!!

I would still love to hear from @CDaughtry about this. Obviously a highly personal decision and I respect his privacy, but nearly two years later I'm still in disbelief.

I also lusted after Nicky, to the point where I commissioned a replica of her. My guitar is incredible and I'm truly happy with it, but I can't imagine letting go of the real deal.

Thank you, and I agree. It took a long time to find that piece of maple and I'm really glad I didn't settle before doing so.
