Allparts Magnet

How did you find out they were Alnico 5's. I couldn't find that information anywhere in their literature or catalog. Did you talk to someone there?

Thanks,
John

I would be interested to know how this sounds. Since I am a Duncan and an Allparts dealer, I might be able to do some serious expermenting. Heh Heh!! <evil grin>

Hey John I don't recall you ever mentioning anything about you being hooked up with AllParts, oh now you tell us. ;)
As to their replacement bar magnet, I had an email exchange with AllParts a little while back asking about it, they said it was Alnico 5.
So are we maybe going to see the day when you will be offering already-magnet-mod'ed Duncan Antiquities with a certain replacement Alni 5 mag? ;) ;) ;)

BGW,

It's a new addition along with Tech-21. I am waiting for an initial large order of pot's and other misc. stuff. I am also going to get a few magnets to play with and see how they sound. Problem is, being a Bass player I'm not sure I will know good when I hear it .. :-)

As far as modifying the Duncan's, I will definetly look into it. Not sure if that would affect my standing with Mr. SD though .....

BlackRose, that ID switch was a neat trick! Initially it confused me, you got a WTF? out of me, until I scrolled further to your OOOPs followup... ;)

As to the idea of you and already-magnet-swapped pickups, I don't know if anyone here was serious, I figure the warrantee issues with SD might get it the way. Maybe you would have "go out on a limb" to do that yourself and sell such a pickup...if they knew about it... But we won't tell anyone... ;)
