When I couldn't get 1010 screws that fit, I quit. I am not interested in swapping back to Custom Buckers and doing this all over again. I am satisfied with where I am now. That doesn't fit with your original post does it ?
I wouldn’t change a thing either! IF you do decide to tinker with thing again, IF the sound changes, or you begin no to like how it sounds, then I would also like to hear your results. But, if you have it where you like it.....if it ain’t broke...I am satisfied with where I am now.

They drafted you?Inductance.
I agree that harder alloy is brighter. However one might put softer steel and like it over harder alloy. So that’s purely a matter of perception on tone. There’s no such thing as build a guitar all the same and everyone will agree on don’t change a thing. Otherwise all guitars would stay stock….It is about resonance.
harder alloy = brighter tone
4 words, 1 symbol. As simple to remember and utilize as 4 words, 2 symbols:
dark clouds, rain, umbrella
However, there are 2 points where CHANGE in hardness of alloys achieves desired resonance, which will result the desired tone of the guitar.
There are alloys in pickup. Resonance is electromagnetic.
There are alloys in metal hardware. Resonance is mechanical.
Pretty simple. Electric guitars were designed by craftsmen. No groundbreaking new technology was invented for the purpose. It only used certain alloys and achieved the resonance they evaluated as tone they want. That is why there are SEVERAL different alloys used not just one.
Want that tone? Replicate resonance. Replicate alloys that create that resonance. Without replicating alloys we might end with 50+ years of not having the original resonance = original tone replicated. Wait ... we just did.
Why? Are we all ... kindergarten children playing house?
