Rare early '52 unbound Les Paul?

The covers on 52s are vacuum formed and very thin compared to later covers. If you try replacing the covers with later cream covers you'll find the pup route is tighter and the newer covers would need to be shaved on the edges.

Also the bridge pup cover would have center mount holes if it were a modern transplant? I believe the covers were both painted black over cream.
