Has anyone checked out the Raw Power Les Paul Standard?What is this guitar finished with , If any?Any noticable diffrence in sound to a regular Standard? Does anyone like that unfinished look? & lastly, what is the lowest price for a new one stateside. jubelo

I seriously considered a raw power les paul. I think they look cool. I believe they just have a satin finish on the maple. I was quoted a bit under $1400 from A Plus. Lyons Music also sells them for around that price.

yeah, it's just a clear sealer on it. The finish on the back is nice, seems good and fast, little resistance...

I have one

I bought a Raw Power about a year ago. I paid $1500. The finish is a satin sealer--very thin. Mine has some finish missing where it hung on the Music Store rack. The neck feals great, very smooth and has a "played" feel. It is a Standard with a satin finish so it sounds just like a regular standard, but costs a little less.

I like my Raw Power a lot, but I bought an R9 in April so I don't play it much. I'm looking to sell it if you're interested.

Back then I don't think they were called raw power, I believe the official term is Natural.
Does anyone know when this finish was first offered?
