I've got a 2001 Historic 57 goldtop with serial number 7 1000. I've been told that this is the first goldtop made this year. Is this correct? Help me out here guys. I may post this one for sale.

I'd say it's the lowest number, but I don't think they make them one at a time.

THey don't make them seuentially, I think, though they do keep more in order with teh goldtop line than the R-9 line.
Still, it's unique. I don't know that it's worth any extra money. It isn't to ME anyway.
