Outstanding clip … I would think you could sell a bunch of those amps
Actually I did sell a couple. Ultimately I converted mine back to stock 6G4-a. The thing was, the 6G3 channel was SO MUCH more powerful than the vibrato channel...it was too "unbalanced" for me. Gave me a real appreciation for a) how much life the vibrato circuit sucks out of the amp and b) how much difference a simple pre-amp can make ;)

Bought this '61 about 10 years ago from Charlie Gelber. Because the headstock was broken off, it has a replace neck made from old growth mahogany w/ a '59 profile and all else is original including the fret board & binding. Plays and sounds fabulous. I've never found anything as good as this in the reissue market.

Don't think anyone posted a studio yet? This is my 2016 ES-335 Studio. I'm surprised how good this really is. Definitely not a second class citizen in a sea of 335s. Not at all like other Gibson studio models. Great bang for the buck. All construction and build quality of a standard 335.

Agreed - I've also got one of these (a 2017). This era Memphis 335 Studio is a great 335.

I added a pickguard, reflectors, and amber switch tip to mine.

Finally got my ES 355 back. Long wait time for sure , a little frustrating ........ re - finish was done by Rob Bustos in Vancouver. He did an outstanding job! It's a perfect Nitro cream color, looks like a flawless factory finish. I love it........ Putting the wiring harness w/ Varitone switch back in was no fun. All it needs now is the final set up. Got a new Faber bridge on it, and I need to install the new Tortoise pick guard I had custom made for it. The Alex Lifeson 355's now are too high in price, I saw them in store years ago I think for 3.5K ? Partly it was that goofy volute problem and how Gibson could FU like that! I guess I should have bought it considering the price they go for on Reverb. So years later I came across this 355 in kinda shit kicked condition, non -original PU's , bridge was junk, the usual tuner swap holes, and a really faded walnut finish. I guess the original celluloid pickguard had 'gassed off' inside the case and wiped out all the gold hardware. Other than that a solid 67 with no issues structurally. I had a nice set of late 60's Gibson humbuckers to go into it... the price was right so the project was started. Been a long time coming but beautiful results.

and play her in good health!

If the Lifeson's are going for $3.5K, that's a decent price. I paid $3,699.00 for mine new when Gibson released them.

I have no hate for Gibson Studio models. All the tone, all the playability, none of the bling, and way more affordable.

Thanks ! Oh no, 3.5K would be a steal for one currently. Your guitar in mint condition will sell for 4 times that now........ There was a Lifeson 355 listed on Reverb a few weeks ago and it was listed for around 12K CDN, and it appears to have sold. 2 years ago a saw one sell on Reverb for 6K USD. So your guitar has been a good investment! Prices are going up.......... I've been trying to find another Hentor Sportscaster by Freddy Gabrsek. I want one with a low serial # He made one for me about 2 years ago but I sold it due to an investment opportunity that came up. I would imagine a Rush fan like you would have one ?
