• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Sometime before my Dad retired from Gibson, he was able to purchase one of the workbenches that was used in Final Assembly. When the Nashville plant was built, this was the standard workbench for all Assembly and Repair people in Final Assembly. My Dad repainted the front, but it still has the same green on the back that was used on a lot of the old equipment. I'm in the process of getting it setup in my repair room. Now, each time I use it, it brings back a flood of memories of the thousands of guitars I built on one exactly like it.

Nice!
Looks like you're all set up and ready for the air compressor.

Hey maybe one of my guitars was on that bench.
