Hello. Thanks for looking.
It's been a long time, but I'm still looking for my 1962 Gretsch White Penguin #42012 that was stolen from Guernsey's Auctions in NYC after their 40 Years of Rock Auction in 1995.
See my website dedicated to this one guitar for all the information:
www.gretschwhitepenguin.com
Thanks again.

Yeah what a bummer.
So the auction warehouse's insurance wouldn't cover anything?

I'll keep an eye out for it in my country (Denmark) -you never know.. :)

Hello everyone.
I finally closed the website gretschwhitepenguin.com after many years and absolutely no progress in getting my 1962 Penguin, serial number 42012. I'm very disappointed even after nearly 28 years since it was stolen and not even a single sighting or return.
If it should happen to resurface, please contact me on info@aokguitars.com
Many thanks in advance for keeping your eyes peeled.

My STOLEN 1962 Gretsch White Penguin, serial number 42012, is STILL out there somewhere in someone's collection. I'd really like it to be returned.

BTW, I'm US Operations Manager for Hylight Electronics these days. GREAT, all UK made amps from London. Voted BEST AMP in the recent, March 1-2, 2025, Guitar Show near Birmingham, England (Shirley, Solihull actually). See:
Website: www.theguitarshow.co.uk
Facebook: Facebook.com/theguitarshowuk
Instagram & Twitter @theguitarshowuk
for next year's show and other guitar shows Peter puts on.
Thanks again and keep your eyes peeled for my guitar (Gretsch only made 6 of them that final year of the model).

I’m praying for you to be reunited with it. 40 years sure do fly by fast.

What did you get to replace it?

Thank You, Tollywood. I appreciate it. Praise Jesus, my OUR personal Lord and Saviour. Thank God.
Yes, Siree. The past 40 years have FLOWN by. I WISH I could go back and re-do and change MANY, MANY things with what I know now that I didn't then.
I never got another guitar to replace it. I just keep playing the same old '58 Gold Top Les Paul I've been playing since the were the cheap brown, I mean, GOLD M&M. So, I can't really complain about much.
See: Same ol' stuff I've been playin' since the early-mid '80s.
