• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Oh, man that sucks! This happened just recently? I'll definitely keep my eyes open for it.

I feel guilty just posting the theft now because it was stolen at least a year ago ... jeez, maybe two.

It belongs to a very close friend I played with in most of the bands I was in. In fact, he was also my best man at my wedding. So there's a lot of sentimental value there, plus he passed it on to his son who is now also playing in bands ... good ones! :) Anyway, it was from the son's car that it was stolen

I finally posted it after referring to it in the "Maybe my favorite Les Paul" thread, where I was able to insert a rare picture of it. And I believe the reward is $500CAD which I myself will pay if I've over-estimated -- no questions asked; we just want the guitar back in the family.

Thanks so much for keeping an eye out. It is believed, by some, still to be in the Tobermory area.

Let me try to understand this, the guitar was stolen one maybe two years ago and you now decide that this is the time to start asking people to keep their eyes open for it.

I don't think it's evaporated or anything in the meantime -- and this posting puts me way ahead of the guitar's actual owner.

But apparently I won't be asking you personally to keep your eyes open for it, kerryboy. :)

Just checked with the owner: the guitar was stolen from the son's ride near Tobermory, Ontario, Canada, in October 2020.

As points of comparison, Randy Bachman recently got a stolen guitar back forty-five years after the fact; and I myself spotted a guitar on eBay that had been missing twenty years.

I've worked consignment sales, and instruments do show up.
