Hi all, very long time since I've posted here. Glad to see some of the old timers still doing well!
I'm trying to see if there is sufficient interest to get one of our old forum jams/meetups going.
Why? We have a very dedicated member across the hall that lives in Brazil, and we are trying to give him an opportunity to come here and jam with his buds.
Where? Good question. We are considering either somewhere in the NYC/Connecticut area or NYS Finger Lakes Region. I'm looking at some famous locations.
When? I'd guess this summer.
New Technology (well for the jams) - We intend to livestream the whole proceedings and even do interviews with members, so even if you live in another continent, you can watch and give real time feedback.
There will be a small suggested -aka non-mandatory- donation to play (just a tip jar so If you choose to contribute or not it's anonymous.) I will send 100% of the funds to the forum owners.
We'll supply a pro band and sound system and backline. All you need to do is get there and play. All guitar brands welcome. Players of all skill levels will be accommodated and we'll make you sound good.
If interested let me know. I need at least 10 people to make it worthwhile.
Can we recapture the vibe of the old days? I think we can do even to better with the advent of new technology. We're also open to any and all suggestions on how to make if fun and attractive to members.
Thanks all,
Chuck
So, should I overwrap my Tune-O-Matic or not?
