I'd be in the zone just taking it for quick spin. Can you tell I'm a child of the 60s? CAR and switches plus killer PUPs... Can I order 2 please?
That guitar started my collecting pre CBS CAR Fenders. I almost had them all, Jazzmaster, Jazz Bass, Bass VI, XII, Stratocaster, (with maple slab board), Tele and Esquire. I couldn't find a Tele or Esquire Custom, Musicmaster or Duo Sonic and chased a Triple neck Steel that the owner would not sell. I ended up selling what I had to a collector in Reno to finance my move to NY. CAR is my favourite custom colour.
I was spawned mid century in 55, so the 60's had a huge effect on me too. Remember the Custom Car shows???

I do. Still a sucker for metal flake glitter. A friend had a Ludwig drum set in CAR in with the big sparkle flakes - instant burn in to the memory bank at 6 years old.

From the "Good Wood" era (said just to fire you up)

Edit--I just realized that it has been almost a year since @Big Al posted anything. Anyone that knows him that can give us an update?

Had a dissertation from Al yesterday. Now I am gassing.
Please lift him up with some good thoughts today. I did and now I will be sitting in the basement trying to duplicate what he told me with my Brown Fender amps.
