• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

The one famous guitar you’d love to know the whereabouts of..

I’m sure Beano would be #1 in the hearts of many ..myself, I’d love to know the current whereabouts of the LPC that Martin Barre used and is photographed with on the Benefit album ( which is one of my favorites )

James Jamerson's Funk Machine bass.
OTher than maybe Beano, I know where most of the ones I'd want to know are - either in the hands of those that made them famous or in collections.
Maybe BB's last Lucille, (presumably with the family) or Lemmy's bass (ditto.)

I know it's been found, but the biggest problem with T-Bone Walker's ES5 is, it's not at MY house.

Before Bonamassa tracked it down, it was Tommy Bolin's Sunburst with the flag pickguard.
Speaking of Joe, on an episode of "Expensiveist" he said he had 15 sunbursts!

After watching YouTube videos I have another I had forgotten about...Norman Greenbaum's Telecaster from "Spirit In The Sky". I think I remember reading it had a distortion unit, made by a friend, built in. In the video (great quality by the way) he's playing a sunburst Tele with 2 added knobs on the lower bout. I also think I remember him saying he has no idea what happened to it t
(I might be mistaken)

Not overtly famous as such, but Jeff Watson played a V on Night Ranger's Seven Wished tour. It is a Hamer Vector. But what sets it apart is that it has fingerboard inlays that are actually red lights! Not bright, but definitely red lights! I REALLY want that! Can actually see the lights in this ad copy too.

not really famous but Steve Gaine's sunburst 65 Strat. I think his family has it. I would really love to buy that guitar if ever given the chance. Steve was my first guitar hero.
