I've tried to use the search function to see if there's been a thread regarding this product but I guess I'm not smart enough to figure it out. Anyway...

do ya'll have any experience with this bridge? I think that it's distributed by WD Products.

I have the Tone Pro installed on my McCinturff Zodiac and it sings. There is a thread or two on the old EZ board. I will try to locate it for you.

TonePros Is the Real Deal

I'm disinclined to chase fads and most distrustful of hyperbole, but
I must admit the TonePros Bridge caught my eye. Simply appealed to
the tinkerer in me. The inventors took a standard German bridge and
stop piece, milled in threaded slots and inserted allen pins to
secure the bridge and stop to their respective posts. This is
supposed to keep those pieces from moving and spoiling intonation
(is that really a problem for anybody?). Its also supposed to keep
them from falling off the guitar if all the strings are removed (it
works...keep ya from dinging your burst, eh?). Finally, it is
claimed that the harmonic content and sustain is improved by more
efficient acoustic coupling.

To test this, I installed the TonePros System II in my '87 Standard
in place of the Gotoh assembly that was there. I retained the old
posts. I also used the same strings (cheap-assed bastid..no actually
it was to make the experiment more controlled...yeah, that's it..)

Results:

'Oly Criminy Jeez, B'y!!

Dang thing works. Unplugged , the guitar is MUCH louder and more
lively (the body and neck vibrate much more...makes my hands tingle
a bit). It's too late to crank at mi casa, but at low volumes, I can
hear much more harmonic content. I'm curious to see if it retains as
much ass when cranked, as I don't want to turn my LP into a Strat.

Preliminary Conclusions:

Heck yeah!!

Final comments:

Can't wait for the next, sooper secret product...BTW, Dwight is a
gent. Great service, friendly, efficient...and an amazing product.
Have to try me a Baker, I suppose...

Re: TonePros Is the Real Deal

Yes Dr. Rico,

I witnessed it myself at the NAMM show.An A/B test with and without
the tone pros and everything that you said was correct. That
prompted me to get two, one for my TCM Zodiac (which now is a
standard on Bakers & TCMs as of Jan 1st)and one for one of my Les
Pauls. I have not yet had time to put it on but can't wait. I am
interested in hearing how Dave P. and some of the recent TCM buyers
feel about it. Dave tell us?

Re: TonePros Is the Real Deal

My TCM has a John Mann trem bridge on it, not the Tone pro
bridge/tailpiece setup.

MannMade

Yeah, Mann is a skilled machinist, too. I love the Mann trem in my
PRS custom 24 and I (slowly, laboriously, finally) got John to make
and send me a tele bridge that's equally awesome.
