Does anyone top wrap some strings and string others the traditional way? I’ve seen a few pics like this — don’t relax lol where. Wondering why this is done. I do know that some guitars sound and play better with the top wrap and others don’t. I do it on an individual basis.
I started experimented with a custom gauge — 10’s / but the high strings are lighter than normal. Trying to decide if I like it. I topped wrapped all strings, but the G,B and E sometimes unseat from the notch and other times I hear rubbing unplugged. Wondering if the strung just those strings regular the angle would put them under more tension and solve the problem. Any thoughts guys?
