A couple made it to my local dealer here in Auckland the other day, a natural finish and a sunburst, no cherry unfortunately.
Played the N, liked the neck it'll do(rounded C), my impression of the neck position dogear P90 is that it didn't sound as crisp as my '14 Memphis, gloss finish(no VOS), single thumbwheel with a metal stud underneath into the body holding the posts, nickel hardware??
Felt good and looks good with the mickey mouse ears like my '14.

I would ask, what are you looking for this 330 to do differently? Or are you just trying to get a backup?

Checking out what the USA production 330 has and does compared to the older Memphis CS 330s that were, for the most part, just great instruments.
Hopefully in future I'll get a cherry 330L(long neck) if CS decide to make these again, and that potentially would be my main stage gat(my current '14 Memphis just kills it in all departments).

The (2016 or 17?) Memphis reissues were great!

In the distant past the Nashville 33X ones were even better.

Memphis 2016 or 17 330 61 reissue...

The Memphis ES 330 was Mike Votz's flagship model when he was in charge.

And it shows.

My 2012/2013 has a 2012 Serial No. and a January 2013 packing date and COA model designation (gotta love that stuff 😋 ). Thus, it is a VOS model with 2012 '59 reissue specs.

Mine is what I would describe as sublime.

Thank you for the review, Steve. (y)

The bridge post inserts are the only 'funky' part. But that is gloriously Gibson, too, imho.

We know that a 330 will do everything from hollowbody reverbed out rockabilly to jazz and folk and surf to fuzzed out 60's pop and even Black Sabbath style proto metal.

What great guitars.

I'm not the biggest fan of the thicker binding and small block inlays on the US 330
The only long neck 330 with dot markers seems to be the Heritage 530 or the Collings I30lc.
I had this '59 Reissue 330 for a visit. Would be a good match to my '58 335.
