Ordered a month ago. Asked for status. Got a short reply to just read the website. Waited longer. Decided to cancel and now I get no response over email and no refund. Jupiter had caps to me in like 5 days.

Shipping Delays

We’re behind in shipping out orders and I apologize.

I’ve had a great 20 years making these old parts for everyone, but I’m not making handfuls of capacitors by myself in my little hillside workshop anymore, I’m making thousands of these in a big shop downtown, and my costs have risen to nearly three times what I charge, and brother it’s creating a serious bottleneck. Picture having only 35 cents but needing something that costs a dollar, and then multiply that by a thousand, and then make it happen every single day. Thats a red hot poker in the bum. I’m trying to work my way through this without raising prices, but it is not easy.

On top of that a gang of thieves has targeted my shop. They drove a van straight through the back and ransacked it while I was working late in the front. They didn’t take everything but they’ve been coming back every night trying to get back in. I’ve got to stand guard all night now without nodding off, and then I’ve got to rally in the morning and get back to work on fixing everything and getting production going again. It’s a less than ideal situation. Picture Paul Giamatti trying to fill in for Rambo.

I apologize if I’m not able to respond to all the emails and questions I’m getting, but please rest assured that I am doing nothing but working and I will ship your order as soon as I can.

they are good capacitors , but go carefully this online store owes us a lot of money for purchases made that are never sent , I do not know what happens to this gentleman , but an online store as it can be that has these practices with its customers , it is something frustrating and we feel cheated and very sad ! We do not have the capacitors or our money which was quite a lot .
I’m no longer getting replies to my email. I just want to cancel but I have no idea how to get a hold of them outside of their email and they seem to be ignoring that.

I don’t want to disparage a business going through hard times but I do want my money back and I think they should stop accepting new orders until they sort out whatever is going on.

We have been sending you emails since December 2023 with no response, every two or three days to get our money back and it never happens!

All that says send an email to cancel the order and you get your money back never happens , at least with me he has not returned anything and it's been 6 months ....
My exact experience. I guess it feels a little better that I’m not the only one? Maybe. I’m not in deep but it’s just the principle.

I am in the same boat. 6 emails and no reply. I’m super confused. Ordered back in January 6th. I’ve tried every which way to get ahold of him. I’m guessing after the break-in he wasn’t able to keep up and just packed up show and ghosted everyone. Pretty shitty thing to do.

I think I’m at the point I’m just going to call the LA police department since I know his name and address. If anyone else wants it let me know and we can make sure he pays for stealing all our money.

I'm in the same boat. Ordered (and paid for) caps back the first week of February and crickets since. I'm fine with waiting if something happened that slowed him down, but to take my money then ghost me when I try to get an estimate on how long we're looking at (in case I decide to get a refund) isn't acceptable. I really hate to file a complaint with my credit card company but it seems that's where it's headed. :(

Anyone get their Luxe order yet? I’m still waiting. I want the caps, but I don’t want to wait around until it’s too late to get my credit card company to do anything. It would be nice to know what’s up. I wonder if Gibson is still getting their caps from him?

I just filed my second chargeback in 6 months with this company because they were not shipping nor replying to email. The first order placed before any of this crazy drama was shown on the website. A second order in early April as they had a banner on the site claiming items were shipping again. Over a month and no replies later, I gave up. It must be wide spread as the payment processor they used, the Shop app, has stopped featuring their items.

I am done with the company. I will buy from resellers. Its worth paying a couple dollars per cap to let someone else deal with obtaining them.
