One of the things I think I love most about Jerry Reed is that despite his jaw dropping skills as a musician and singer he never takes himself too seriously on stage.

He's kinda like Eddie Van Halen in that almost every time you saw the dude on stage he would goof off, and is just smiling and laughing having the best time in the world doing what he loves. That comes through in his playing, it's rhythmically and melodically playful and carries his humor and joy in it in a very audible way. Imo that had a lot to do with what made those particular two world class, and deeply appreciated and loved entertainers.
