• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE HAVE MOVED THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER! Let us know how it is going! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin
  • Please support our Les Paul Forum Sponsors with your business - Gary's Classic Guitars, Wildwood Guitars, Chicago Music Exchange, Reverb.com, Throbak.com and True Vintage Guitar. From personal experience doing business with all of them, they are first class organizations. Thank you!

What's your one amp and cab or combo to rule them all?

Historically it has been my 1976 Marshall 2204 through a JCM 800 1936 cab loaded with Pulsonic G12M - 75hz greybacks.

But these days it is my Fractal AX8 through a pair of Presonus E4.5 monitors. Versatility and extraordinary tone at any volume (which has become my top priority in the last several years).

If we're talking about ones you currently own, then I'd have to say this one:

If we're talking about anyone you may have owned, I'd have to go with this one, which is very close to the one I owned in the early '70s:

My YJM100 comes close though.
