When did the wide bevel truss rod covers go away on the ES thinlines? I am thinking '64-'65? Would that have been the same time the long guards also went away? Apologies if this has been asked before.

Long guards changed somewhere in 1960.
Wide bevil TRCs show up through 63 and later.

I believe that would be '65 on the TRC, and '61 on the long-to-short guard transition.

Nothing ever happens on January 1. You will find short guards in late 1960 and long guards in early 61. A wide bevel TRC in 65 is pretty rare but I've seen a few. I've never seen a narrow bevel TRC on a 64.
