• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Over a decade in the making come this 2015 59 True Historic spec Murphy painted and aged in the Peter Green color and motif. Loosely based off of Peter Greens guitar this was a very small run of 13 guitars only for top Japanese dealers only. This project started out over a decade ago when I asked Gibson for a Murphy painted and aged guitar but the request was always turned down due to the time it takes Tom to paint and age a guitar. Now the dream has finally come to reality and what better model to do it on than a True Historic spec guitar. According to Gibson this is the first time Murphy has painted and aged a run for Gibson. The specs are the 2015 True Historic, Grover Tuners, reflector knobs, reversed neck pickup, and wired out of phase just like Greens guitar. Notice in the last photo at the point of the pick are the initials TM.

Regardless of the influence, THIS GUITAR had the top, look and ambience of what I think a Les Paul should look like. I love it!!

And the color if I say so myself. I just love the green lemon color.
