FWIW. I read a Leslie West interview years ago where he said he played through a Deluxe Reverb hooked up to an unhoused 15" speaker that was pointed at the ceiling for the studio version of Mississippi Queen.
The protestors let themselves get assimilated into what they were protesting against and then learned new & more effective ways to vilify and silence anyone protesting against the new status quo.
