• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I just picked up this 65 Melody Maker for a song. All original (took the boat anchor Vibrola off) and it honks like a Les Paul Jr. Has the 11/16 nut and nickel parts. I know its an odd shape but these things can sound like Jr's for a fraction of the cost. Anyone else like these???

I have a 63 MM, slightly different body shape than yours, but yes, I love mine. Great neck feel. I put a Curtis Novak P90 in mine.

I have a 61 Epiphone "Olympic". Les Paul shape, same as Gibson Melody Maker. It's a single pickup. I also have a 2-pickup, single cutaway 61 Melody Maker. Both just scream! I've had both dbl cuts and single cuts during the last 46 years. The Gibson I got in '09 and the Epi I just got about 6 weeks ago. I may have to install a P-90 in it. Both are fitted with the wonderful AMB aged Wrapover's machined out of Bell Brass. The TP's make them Resonate like crazy.
