Hi I'm hoping for some info on a 1968/1969 Les Paul Custom.

The serial number is in the 560000 range.

Pots date to 52nd week 1968 with undisturbed solder.

It's got a one piece body with what looks like a centre seam.

I'm pretty sure it's a one piece neck as there are no signs at all of seams in the neck and it has a transitional tenon.

Finish is all original and black lights perfectly on the body and neck as well as in the pick up and control cavities.

The pick ups are interesting. Both have patent number stickers but one has no T top markings and the other has a T on one coil only.

It has waffle back tuners and everything else appears original inc the orange lined rectangular case and hang tag booklet.

Any other info would be most welcome and also what value these are currently going for.

Thanks very much!

The covers are off? Black bobbin replaced?
I think they may be early pre T Top bobbins maybe still being used up as late as 68/69. I saw another half T Top and half non T Top Gibson pick up on Reverb and other non T Top Patent Sticker pick ups on guitars of this era. But open to other suggestions! A lot of Customs still have covers on so not everyone will know what their bobbins look like!

look for cavity style and top carve for higher value as '68 specs.

I've not been following value on these, but it should very high!

see late 60s threads started by Moonweasel. Lot's of good info here on those years.
