Are you saying that is a 1969 Les Paul Custom with a Walnut finish? Or are you saying it's a custom-made Les Paul from 1969?

It's clearly not a Les Paul Custom.

The bridge does not look like an original; they all had nylon saddles back then, IIRC.

I don't think the knobs are from that era.

It's clearly been refretted too.

Highly quilted maple top in late 60s? No...I doubt it.

Humbuckers on a Les Paul standard? Nope.

Let's see a shot of the binding on the horn-side of the neck.

I'm no expert, but I've never heard of this other than this old thread. Guitar looks totally different from yours and I'd call BS on that one too.

You might do better off with your post if you were to post good pictures of the Walnut 69 you are referring to in the title.

Beautiful example of a rare finish from that period. Finishes are one of the toughest thing to verify, but it looks pretty legit to me. If you are selling it online some black light pictures would surely help your cause.

Those personals, recording, professional are one guitar I never had. How are they for playing rock and blues sound wise compared to a humbucker or P-90 equipped guitar?

Even though they are designed to create a cleaner tone than a high impedance guitar, you can get some nice distorted tones. Terry Kath used a Professional in the early days of Chicago.

If you don't mind me asking, what type of music do you like to use it for?

My friend had a Professional in walnut. The low impedance pickups weren't ideal for pushing high impedance amps.

@joe joe , that's one beautiful Custom. Welcome!
