• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

I think it's called the "scroll".

The scroll is at the end of the "peg head" or "peg box." They are generally regarded as two separate components.

My oh my, we're getting sophisticated in here.

Shall I pour the Chateau De Mongueret - Coteaux Du Layon at this time, François? How's that magret de canard coming along, Gaston?

I think you should go with one of those acoustic pups that go on the inside of the fiddle. That way you won't wreck it.

Rich, the answer to your question is a little complicated, and is a private matter at this point. I can say that it is getting the proper care and attention it deserves. My family is getting lots of help from members of the orchestra. They know a thing or two about old fiddles.

FWIW, I’m toying with the idea of asking for one of her bows.

Nope. We found a guy in Vegas that's willing to put a nice flame maple top on her - to match the back.

And I suck at violin, can't get the intonation right. That dude in Vegas suggested that I should get frets installed. He said StewMac has some mandolin fretwire that would be just about perfect.

And that heel is really bugging me. It is so friggin huge. Vegas guy is gonna make that right too. :lol2
