• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

If Craig Chaquico can prove he had ownership of the guitar and that it was stolen, whoever has the guitar now, although he/she purchased in good faith, is going to have a problem keeping it. (Based on US law.)

Did you mean to post this two years ago, and something went wrong?
Craig has agreed, in federal court, to drop any claim to the title, now and in the future.

I guess I'll just restate it one more time: I hold legal title to the guitar.

i hereby vow to turn off any radio station that ever plays anything involving this piece of shit guy from this date forward, just on principle from this whole shit show

harry I am so sorry to hear its gotta go but as one other person said perhaps it just holds some bad juju now because of what you had to go through -- and there is some other great guitar waiting for you down the road

Cody, did you ever tell the story about how/when/from who this guitar was acquired? Was the CC association known at that time? Who sold you this stolen merchandise? I'd be curious if you care to share.

The CC connection was not known at the time. This guitar had been discussed here several times before the back history was known.

Whew! Tell us how you really feel, Pellman73:laugh2:

Angry

like if there was an alternate ending to karate kid where instead of Danny winning with a crane kick Johnny puts a major beat down on Danny and as he lies on conscious Cobra kai celebrates, Chad McQueen yells get him a body bag and then John Kreese beats up pat morita for good measure.

bad guys win.

It it all feels terribly wrong and injust from my perspective.

SO... if CC had talked to Cody first (instead of the lawyer apparently on speed-dial), hashed it out man-to-man without all the lawyer-shite that happened, Cody would have been able to KEEP HIS GUITAR?

Good work CC - you just ruined it for BOTH of you, welcome to the Law Of Unintended Consequences. Feel better now? :fu :pisd :rolleyes

Damn, Cody, just damn. That fkkking SUCKS. :dang

The cynic in me tends to believe there was nothing unintended in his actions whatsoever. Harry was fooked if he did, and fooked if he didn't. This is a horrible and impossible situation for this guitars owner.

I can't begin to understand how Harry feels....

This is one of those lessons that costs so much and you don't get a scroll or a plaque for.

Cody, I am deeply moved and sorry for your situation.:dang
