Find a reputable fret guy, pick out your favorite frets, and you will be all set. What frets do you think you will get?

I hate this. It was happening to me recently on a guitar after I changed the nut for a pre-cut one. The spacing for the high E was a bit off so I filled the slot with super glue, let it dry then scraped and sanded flush before recutting the slot slightly higher/colser to the B string. We're talking about the thickness of a couple of pieces of paper but it translates to a big difference when playing across the whole fretboard.

On another guitar I had the high E often being caught on about the 7th or 8th fret ends. After some filing down I manged to stop that.

In my case it looks like maybe the Luthier precut the frets too short instead of cutting them to overhang the board slightly then filing them to be flush. Really a pretty sloppy looking job

Fret ends look certainly bad, but not enough I think for a slipping off problem. Fret surface looks OK until they reach the binding
