• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • WE HAVE MOVED THE LES PAUL FORUM TO A NEW HOSTING PROVIDER! Let us know how things are going! Many thanks, Mike Slubowski, Admin

I know it's safe to have less impedance, not sure about more. I don't know ....somewhere between nothing and blowing the output tranny???

Actually the opposite is true. Too little and you'll over stress the OT.

Marshalls are the LAST amps you want to be dicking around with the impedance.. Set it correctly unless one likes to source old replacement OTs.

Somebody say something controversial already. I’m dying here! I know the forum is a much happier place now, but it seems to have lost something in the process. Kind of dry in here, don’t you think? I mean, threads like the feud between LPM and I are rare, but fascinating. Look how many people “tuned in” on that one. It was reality forum at it’s finest! That stuff is so damn interesting to people, myself included. I understand it may be a bitch to manage those types of threads, but we need something real-time and interesting to read…

Brian, I don't know if fascinating is quite the word for this.. :hmm

More like embarassing comes to mind.. I'd think you'd want to forget about "that" thread.. ;)

You know Dave, it really doesn't bother me. Most of that stuff said about me wasn't even true. I have thick skin and don't care too much about what people say on a forum.

Threads like that were a waste of bandwidth and should have been settled between two people.

Thumbs down

Well, I wish it could have been. It wasn't though, and that's what happens when people do not agree. It was jealousy driven and still is. :toobad

I don't think anyone is afraid to talk about controversial stuff. I just think most folks are tired of it. Give it a rest.

Snags, you're kidding, right? Any self-respecting Russian would have you killed for that statement.

Let me put this as gently and diplomatic as I can.....

I miss some of the political discussions because I was either agreeing, or not, with someone with whom I shared a more important common belief:Les Pauls are important! This ,to me was the biker bar;you fight like hell, but in the end the man you are talking to is your LP brother. Peace,Richard.
