It's great to see John getting props here. He's one of my long time favorites since I first saw QMS in '67. I always liked the simpler SG and have been plotting to make a replica if I can find the right doner body.

I like GP's fact checking. '59 SG?

did he once play a 60s small guard sg special with a horseshoe tp but modded with humbucks ?

anyone notice the caption that says '59 sg?

I noticed that the first time I saw this article. I talked about it with some friends who also got that issue back then. John Seivert was a GP photographer, I don't think he was into the vintage guitar thing as much as others were at the time. He most likely got his info from Cipollina.
