The only problem is it looks like an attempt at fishing for buyers and it's thread hijacking. This topic about early 70's Customs was well under way and you popped in with a totally unrelated post. Do you enter conversations like that? Just stroll over and ask something off the wall?Sorry if I came off as an ass. I was just desperately looking for info and yes I noticed the rounded corners the mesh type wire seems to be correct. I dunno but I know it has no tool marks that indicate pre 62 THANK YOU
Uh... I have no idea what that code is. Early 70's Kalamazoo Customs had metal button waffle back encloed Kluson tuners. What a barrel tuner is, eludes me.Question about waffle tuners. LPCNSGC are they standard with the early 70s I see a lot of Les Paul customsWith barrel tuners is this a swap out?

Thanks big Al for your response… Les Paul custom and SG custom that’s my code letters. Barrel tuner is a term I picked up through Reverbs descriptions. I’ve been brainwashed. Simply describing the bottom half of the tuner Is cylinder in shape and are the ones that say Gibson or round the circle. I see These tuners on a lot of Les Paul custom‘s for sale on reverb and they’re not copping too a change out early midseventy’s. PS I never see many less Paul standards in the early 70s? Customs and deluxe’s?Thanks again!Uh... I have no idea what that code is. Early 70's Kalamazoo Customs had metal button waffle back encloed Kluson tuners. What a barrel tuner is, eludes me.

To add : from a couple days ago. Every time I see John primer last decade he’s been playing Epifones Re-re-issue. Great guitarist Great guy!The pups belonged to John Primer. I figured if anybody could tell me anything it would be ppl knowledgeable about Gibsons in general. Was thinking of getting my hands on them but I did not know what they were. I wasn’t gonna ask the guy to go as far as taking anything else loose since he was at work. I think I have what I need to know. I’ll be careful about posting. This is the 1st forum I have been on in years. If I have caused any trouble sorry. I just hope you could imagine when you were not an expert and how excited seeing that PAF sticker might have made you.
