I love the Vintage 30'sThose are great amps. I'd suggest trying reissue Hertiage 30W speakers in place of the Vintage 30s.
Apparently you do not know those are not Vintage 30 speakers you are looking at. Those are Vintage speakers MIE., and only come in those OEM cabs. A whole different animal. Absolutely no reason to look at anything else. Those are great amps. I'd suggest trying reissue Hertiage 30W speakers in place of the Vintage 30s.
Sorry, no slight intended. There is a big misconception, though, about the speakers being Vintage 30 and understandably so. So any mention of comparison to Vintage 30s is not a valid comparison. Those that have compared them to Vintage 30s say they are a world better with the Jube. I had researched this extensively before I decided it was worth it to pop $850 ea. for the A/B cabs. I'm only trying to avoid truth decay here.I've owned and played many 80s Jubilees with many different speakers. I'm giving you my preference is all.
Very Good eye . This was a fun little amp back in the 90's , which I got from Matt Umanov Guitars in the Village . This was the first amp to give you the best of both worlds . From Fender Clean with Reverb and then with a stomp you went to sort of like Marshall country . 3 settings on the rectifier switch , with the first setting class A all tube rectifier , then class AB , which was also tube rectifier . Finally class AB solid state . I liked the class A -which was sort of like a Vox AC-30 , and the Class AB Solid State . Great little amp , which worked well with my Fender's and Les Paul's .Is that a 2x10 snakeskin red Prosonic at the back?
I had one of those, sounded great but was so unreliable.
Very good catch . Two totally different animals as the ones loaded in the 2551AV cabs are made in England versus the ones the Vintage 30's made either in Vietnam or China . If I had a choice for a product built in Southeast Asia I would take Vietnam everyday . I love how you show an image of the speaker with the Ipswich, Suffolk , England .Apparently you do not know those are not Vintage 30 speakers you are looking at. What are you referring to ?How much debris could you salvage from the crater?
Most 80's jub cabs had the Celestion G12's in them which are different compared to the Vintage 30's . So in that instance the Heritage 30W speakers would be an upgrade .I've owned and played many 80s Jubilees with many different speakers. I'm giving you my preference is all.
That's the beauty of making music that it involves our ears and no 2 people are alike and ditto for our ears .I actually prefer the sound of the G12T-75s over the "Vintage 30s" in these amps. I'm well aware I'm in the minority.
I have been blasting away since July 2015 and haven't heard a peep . One guy that lives next door on the first floor is always giving me compliments. What I play , I play well . I am always trying to learn more and continue to study and make the effort to learn more , as that is my challenge .I think corpse was asking about the crater left when you run a pair of 100 watt guitar amps wide open. Having done so a bunch myself, I know they can move architecture! Wanna know if you’re a half decent guitar player? Crank ‘em every day for a month or so. If the neighbors don’t call the cops you can't be too bad. My neighbors still ask why I stopped. Kinda humbling to be honest.
One thing I still have my hearing and am amazed that it hasn't had an adverse affect . Go figure right ?How much debris could you salvage from the crater?
