There’s no question to my mind getting older can really suck but of course the alternative is worse…

I love all my LPF brethren, but one of my favourite forum friends over the years has been the irrepressible Mike Bowen. He’s fighting hard.

Mike has probably posted more photos of vintage guitars than anyone on the LPF

I know he’d love a Christmas message from y’all to keep his spirits up.

Please post a message to the Mighty Mike B here!

Love ya, Mike ?

If anyone wants to contact Mike personally, please lmk.

God bless Mike, thinking of you often.
Thanks F hole… Love seeing the OG’s posting… For those who have been around here for a bit, Mike B sadly has cancer and a really big fight on his hands. Every little bit of well wishing helps. Like our beloved Big Al!

Thanks man! Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Today I'll be thinking a lot about how we all persevere through our lives with each other's support, how we carry on, struggle forward, and right our ships -- out of whatever darkness, troubles, or fears that confront us -- and towards light and life. With gratitude and awe, to connection and love.

Mike -- I pray for good vibrations and regenerative spirits to flow to all of us LPFers this Merry Christmas and you can help: Just close your eyes, put out your hands, and imagine the lovely feeling of the Brock Burst and other loved guitars in your hands with power and majesty, tonal bliss, and draw upon that energy!

Move forward, take it all in and pass it round to us, too!

My best to all, and God Bless Us Every One.

Merry Christmas! ?

Stay strong, Mike B! I loved all the photos you used to post on here...so many incredible vintage guitars!

Here are my only vintage Gibsons...a '56 and a '63:

Mike, do you remember how we ( You, Banker, Richard Henry, and I ) earned our "Banned of Brothers " nickname some years ago?

Not a backward step in sight.

One foot in front of the other, one day at a time..when boiled down to the last it's what we're all doing.

I wish you resolve you dear Man.

We can all be the light to someone in rough waters. I reach out to others and am rather sure just being there- listening- asking a question- or like Paul- saying something insensitive or utterly inappropriate that just bursts the bubble and gets everyone laughing
in my experience people that have massive Heath crises going-on want to be certain that they can pass along what was given to them and certainly to lighten the burden of others- particularly their families. There is little thought of self- just a desire to be thought of as a vital person, not a victim.
Remember the feel of a perfect neck and the smell when those cases opened up.
Easy does it And stay in the moment.

Was that on the infamous MLPF? I vaguely recall those halcyon days… you guys were such a bunch of guitar pirates!

Thanks for posting!

Although I rarely post, I've been around here a long time and usually start my day with a cup of coffee and catching up on the LPF. Over all these years, many of us have come and gone, really great people whose personalities became a part of our daily lives. So, here's the best to Mike, OMITN and of course Big Al. I'm thinking of you and offering my prayers and best wishes.

That's the one Shred, the "unmitigated underpant" crack from John and Richard Henry's sock puppet avatar after he'd been banned for the 4th time, still has me in stitches. Mike's rapier wit literally had me laughing me arse off on occasion, the poor buggers at the other place didn't know what to do with us.
