• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Congrats Dan, that's one beaut of an HM R8! Kim's work just keeps getting better and better, and he's raised the bar once again;
the colors are the most "Burst accurate" to date, and after the extensive RDS process, the Gibby's play, feel and sound so much better.
I guess that's why I have 5 HMs! Enjoy it Dan....

Thank you for all the complements. This guitar really is a gem. Its instantly become my favorite Les Paul. Unfortunately, I've been tied up with work projects so I haven't been able to find much time to play it. Im in Canada all week but I'll be home in time for a big gig Friday night and you can bet this guitar will be the one hanging on my shoulder.

Great looking guitar Dan! Your pictures make it look very different in color from the HM pictures. Which better represent how the guitar really looks in person?

Kim's photos are closer to the true color than mine.

I was seconds from pulling the trigger on this....congrats!

Sorry about that. Kim mentioned to me that there were several people who had expressed interest in buying it. I think it was only about 10 minutes after I got off of the phone with him that I sent a message to say "I'll take it".

I spoke with Kim the other day and he mentioned that he has purchased a half dozen more Historics that are all destined for the RDS treatment, so keep your eyes out. I've got to believe that they'll only get better.
