• THIS IS THE 25th ANNIVERSARY YEAR FOR THE LES PAUL FORUM! PLEASE CELEBRATE WITH US AND SUPPORT US WITH A DONATION TO KEEP US GOING! We've made a large financial investment to convert the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and recently moved to a new hosting platform. We also have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!
  • Please support our Les Paul Forum Sponsors with your business - Gary's Classic Guitars, Wildwood Guitars, Chicago Music Exchange, Reverb.com, Throbak.com and True Vintage Guitar. From personal experience doing business with all of them, they are first class organizations. Thank you!

Normally, I'm team pickguard on for a Les Paul...however...

I also ordered a "Standard" truss rod cover, even though I think they charge too much. I just like the look. I thought they'd included one in the case, but nope - a second blank one.

The cover showed up today :)

I like the poker chip. I might agree with you on the reflectors, they may get replaced with speed knobs.
I just think it needs proper reflectors, those newer ones look like ass to me, they don't really reflect. These are much better....

I've always loved reflector knobs on bursts, here's my L5s guitars with it's proper vintage reflectors (and no pickguards)...

I fully agree on the newer reflector knobs Gibson is using, the older style knobs are a must!
