Haha, I love a sense of humour. I hope this starts a slagging match!
I'll start... nothing personal but i'm done with Weber speakers. I've written several times how much i love the sound and I do but no sooner than I wrote did they faii. The first two I though were just bad luck, the last one convinced me otherwise. As fate would have it I recently (within past two weeks) happened to be speaking with one of the larger boutique builders and he told me he had to stop using Webers because of high failure ratio and poor quality control. Just my experience and opinion, YMMV, but I'm done.
What type of speaker did you get from them?
I ordered a C1225 with pre-Rola doping ( whatever that is???) about 6 months ago and installed it in my 18watter, wonderful speaker, by far the best "greenback" I've ever used. I hope it'll hold up.
Would be a shame but not the first time a good company is run into the ground when the leadership chnages. And that comic strip is just pathetic:wow
Perhaps I'm wrong, but I don't find that very professional... :wah
Thanks for that run down j45. It's of interest to me as I've recently bought 2xBlue Dog and 2xSilver Bell alnicos from them so I'll see how they last.
As they say bad news travels fast.........an amp repair buddy of mine here told me about the problems the webers were having when I mentioned my purchase.
Watch this space..................
I find it downright asinine.
But all the Weber speakers I've tried seem a bit dark. YMMV.
Yes, they are more of the fat side than on the cutting side. I love that but it sure isn't everybody's cup of tea ... and it depends in what kind of amp you are using them.
