• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Lockdowns extended, pubs, live music and business in general, all suffering...in a country that is farther along in vaccinations than most any other. What gives, mates?

From fearless to feckless in one generation. Sir Winston Churchill is turning in his grave. He might have said something like, Fear not, dying. Fear not living. Get well soon!

Ian Anderson nearly 10 months ago - “Hard to make any progress with this muddled, uninformed and lackluster U.K. government,” he writes. “I am so sad for all of us in this now extremely precarious industry of arts and entertainment and sad for our audiences too.” (Rolling Stone)

I can only imagine where his head is at now - after receiving zero response in an open letter way back when. Probably one of the most intelligent and level heads in the music industry.

Meaning, you're not too concerned about how long you are TOLD you can't have a (live musical) life? That's a game I'm not familiar with. That ain't livin' IMO.

Luckily for us over here Doc we're doing okay at Level 1 and no(short) lockdowns since February........R'n'R is going strong.
But it's tough in your neck of the woods.

Since March of 2020, 63,750,000 have died from something else. Quite the dead pool to pull from, eh? Where’s the love? Where’s the sympathy? Where’s the cure? Wake up. Deleting this thread won’t save you.

Well said Al!
I plead for sympathy, sanity and cures for other scourges of the planet that kill and maim in FAR greater numbers and I’m the selfish one? All while the Masters keep us enslaved for a STILL less than .05% mortality rate.

What a load of fatuous nonsense.

Yes, using terms without understanding what they mean. That says it all. Good catch.
If you want to cite petty language spellings and skirt the issue, fine. But for the record, the meaning, “on the contrary” is the same in either language. The meaning stands.

My mixing of French and English doesn’t change the hypocrisy of the G7 dolts eschewing social distancing all while saying you shouldn’t. Nice try.

Perhaps the leaders were among the first to be vaccinated, maybe?

Come to Atlanta in the US. 18000 expected for Hawks game tonight standing room only, 36000 expected for Braves baseball tonight. Over 70000 saw Mexico soccer (football) match at Mercedes Benz stadium last week. I'm watching Scotland Vs England in London right now with medium crowd. Get the jabs and get back to life. Many politicians in US are as behind as UK. Vote them out when you have the opportunity.
