• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

It was loads of fun to see some old friends from the LPF today -- and some great guitars.

Looked like a good show. Sorry I couldn't get through that video. Five min in I got dizzy.

Does anyone play a low impedance Lester? Does it require a special amp?
There were a couple of low-impedance Les Paul Recording-style guitars at the show. Here's one:

I always associate these guitars with plugging straight into a recording desk. I have no idea what's necessary to plug them into an amp, but there have been a few threads about them at the LPF from time to time.

There was in fact a purpose built amp for them, The LP-12 that featured both low and hi-impedance inputs. More commonly though Gibson offered an in-line impedance transformer, the AD-1. You just use it in line with an xlr adapter. The modern day equivalent is still available in the Shure A95U.

Is that a Waddy Wachtel CC in the back, with a CC01 Gary Moore in front? I can't make out the price of the latter do you recall what it was?

Thanks.

Quite possibly — I’m pretty sure I remember seeing a Wachtel ‘Burst right around that booth.

Thanks. I ask as the CC01A Gary Moore Signature guitars rarely come up for sale. The price in the photo, while not very clear, seems to be much lower than this example.

Maybe someone else that attended can chime in.

I only had a few hours there, so I wasn't in "obsessively photograph everything" mode. But seeing a Recording-style guitar in the wild, I had to get a shot.

Gibson did make an amp for the Low Impedance Lesters around 1970, It is quite the beast. Very expensive at the time.

Lester himself used a smaller version……

Thanks. Here's a shorter (and much better) video with some detail. Accuracy of the poster's editorializing is um ... left as an exercise to the reader 😀

that trogly youtube channel is soooooo irritating and the guy is calling the Dallas show the Arlington show.

Nice, I love them. Thanks for sharing it with us. I want to know that is edubirdie legit or not and for that, I am searching for my question answer online. When I was searching for it online, I found your post. I love to play the guitar. I play the guitar with my friends. Right now, I want to buy a guitar and that is why I am searching for some useful tips online. I will surely save your post. Can you please tell me the address for this shop? Thank you.
They are so beautiful.
