• Guys, we've spent considerable money converting the Les Paul Forum to this new XenForo platform, and we have ongoing monthly operating expenses. THE "DONATIONS" TAB IS NOW WORKING, AND WE WOULD APPRECIATE ANY DONATIONS YOU CAN MAKE TO KEEP THE LES PAUL FORUM GOING! Thank you!

Joe posted this picture of CC#3 and his "batman" 'burst on twitter a few nights ago.

He asked if any experts can tell the difference. Based on this photo, I can't!

I'm assuming it's the prototype. Maybe JB can chime in on some details.

Looks like they have the base plate under the bridge.

The one on laying down on the bench is the original.. They did a great job on the prototype, completely nailed it and even got the mystery factory bigsby bridge plate done very accurate. 10 out of 10 ... The are calling it "The Babe" I didn't have much to do with it and lucked into owning the guitar that is CC#3 so I feel unfairly skipped ahead of the line in this series. but the guitar I played at Wildwood Guitars was stellar..

Thanks for the insight, Joe.

Looks like they nailed yet another one. Still no answer on the mystery plate? So weird, but so interesting.

Any reason why they chose to call it "the babe"? Maybe it was the previous owners name for it?

Anywho, any chance you'll take yours out on tour?

Sorry about all the questions but this guitar has mystery behind it. It's a 'burst. Go figure

The mystery plate in question is a stock bigsby piece that came with the guitar when the original owner got it in the spring of 1960....

No - it is the "Bonamassa Bigsby Burst". That is the official name. :2cool

P.S. I bestowed that name on the guitar when Joe first bought it, and since I was the first to do so, it's official! :rofl :rofl :2zone

Good to see the release of something different in the series. The first 2 releases are both Lemon Drops so it is good to see something that has a finish that has kept over time and also the Bigsby gives the series something fresh. They did a great job with this one.
