Re: Restoring my 1960 'Burst... need HELP..!! :)

Where are these credentials that he's staking then?

Tom is a legend in the Burst community. He has owned and sold some of the best and most amazing bursts in existence, and has been buying and selling them since the 70’s. I am really kind of surprised he’s betting on this horse.

post it on the other forum. You'll have dozens of members fawning all over you, telling you how lucky you are, and that it's the mostest beautifulist burst they've ever seen. They may even erect a bronze statue of you.

Jeeez... it's a few millimetres different..! These things were built by humans, not robots... The loom routs on your 'confirmed Burst', Tom's 1960, and my 'to be confirmed' 1960 are all in slightly different places. Here's a better view of mine. You can even make out the (very) shallow chew too... The guy that built mine was clearly very careful with his router!! :hee

Can you point out the chew mark please? my eyes ain't so good. I can see a 1974 pot code, but no chewy?

Tom, it's my understanding that Terry's a luthier, not a dealer or authenticator. Do I have that incorrect? If so, then I'll take it back, but regardless, his fictionalized narrative has no basis in fact.

He is far more than just a luthier, and has been for about 50 years. He was a restorer and repairman in a vintage shop when I met him well over 40 years ago.
He is definitely a Burst expert, when it comes to authentication and restoring them.

His "narrative" was my paraphrasing our phone conversation. I did not copy and paste his words. So, if his narrative is fictionalized, it is probably my fault.

It is nice to know more about your background. :salude

Speaking as someone who has dealt with the criminal and civil courts professionally for nearly 30 years I’m finding the OPs threats quite amusing.

With each additional post this thread turns more into all of of those similar ones that have come before it.

Still fun to watch though.

Some people you just can’t reach..

Some people you just can't trust..

This is also true.

I was going to catch up on 'Better Call Saul' tonight, some more legal shenanigans, but this thread is going into meltdown and will likely have been nuked from orbit by tomorrow morning so I think I'll just sit back and let the true colours come out....

Best laugh I have had since we went into lockdown, and that includes all my other Netflix options...

Right, where's my popcorn.....

Better Call Saul sounds better to me. There’s nothing to see here. No big guns. I’m sure it gets a bit old all this.

Amusing? In what way please? You never heard of the Small Claims Court (which I have used on numerous occasions..?).
